Another of the Peter Rabe paperback noir mysteries in the hard-boiled school.

Here's one quote about this writer:

"He was one of the most gifted writers of paperback originals, writing some of the best crime fiction to come out of the 1950s. [T]oday’s critics still discuss him as one of the greatest practitioners of the “roman noir.” Recently, author Ed Gorman wrote, “Along with John D. MacDonald and Charles Williams, [Rabe] was one of Gold Medal’s Holy Trinity. When he was rolling, crime fiction just didn’t get much better.”

I hope you enjoy it.

Don

P.S.: I've put together some Charles Williams -- the genre writer. Look for the word [noir] in the title field.
