Quick usb socket question

Does anyone know if the Sony PRS 600 mini usb socket is output as well as input.
I was going to try and connect a usb led light to it via the mini usb socket on the bottom of the reader.

Not a good idea anyway... it'll chew your battery life to pieces...

If you're asking if the USB socket on the Sony Reader can be used as a power source, I'm pretty sure that the answer is "no".
