"Sleuthfest" Starts Today in Florida

"Sleuthfest" starts this morning in Deerfield Beach, Florida. (Just down the road from Boca Raton). It runs through Saturday.

It's a gathering of 100-plus writers and and several hundred readers and fans. I've come from Los Angeles to take part in several panels and re-connect with old friends.

On tap today, four different lines of workshops:

Novel Writing with Jeremiah Healy, Sandra Balzo, Sharon Potts, PJ Parrish, and Christine Kling, and guest of honor SJ Rozan.

Advanced Novel Writing with Elaine Viets, Julie Compton, Randy Rawls, Neil Plakcy.

More Writing with Heather Graham, SJ Rozan, Michael Koryta.

"Dead" Writing with Christine Kruse, Sharon Plotkin, Dr. Jason Byrd, Britin Haller, and Colleen Kelley.

The panels begin tomorrow. I'm on "Perfect Protagonists and Vile Villains" at 9 am Friday with Michael Palmer, Michael Palmer, and Julie Compton. Moderated by Jerry Sanford...who I knew 30-plus years ago when he was an outstanding prosecutor.
