--language variable in command line conversion

Does anybody knows how to use the --language variable in HTML-EPUB conversion (for example) using Calibre command line?

I put many words or abbreviations there, but the verbose conversion output still says "Language not specified".

I tried: english, en, russian, ru, czech, cz... Nothing helped.

Thank you
