Taken by Robert Crais

This is a detective mystery. It is written past forward, with present slipped in here and there. I really enjoyed it.

If you have read Taken, what did you think?

I've not read that one, but I really enjoyed his Two Minute Rule.

Finished it recently. A 4.5 star read for me. Elvis and Joe do it for me every time. This was pretty gritty and violent, so right up my street .

That confused me for a moment - they're Elvis novels with Joe Pike in 'em aren't they - apart from I think one which is with Pike as the main man ?

Or is that the Angel guy..... no, hang on, that's Parker..... no, hang on.... who's Hawk.... oh bugger, have to visit my shelves and probably Wiki as well .

Got meself in a right state now, and only finished one, about one of them, a few weeks ago.....

Age has withered me.............

This is the 15th Elvis Cole/Joe Pike novel, and, as you say, most (including this one) formally has Elvis as the main character. Three have Joe Pike as the main character.

This is one of my favorite series. I enjoyed Taken, but the very best of the series is L.A. Requiem.
