Free (GPLv2) Translation Dictionaries
I've put together a bunch of a translation dictionaries for the Kindle. They're fully indexed so can be selected as the Kindle's primary dictionary and used to help read foreign texts (as well as being searchable if you're just wanting to look up a word).
I created them based on the TinyLex dictionaries from the Apertium project, there are dictionaries for: Afrikaans, Esperanto, French, German (with phrases), Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Welsh. The German one in particular is very useful, with over 160,000 entries.
You can download them all here: http://blog.mikeasoft.com/2011/01/05...or-the-kindle/
Hope its of use to some folks .

Thanks, I'm going to check out the German -> English one. I would also love to find an Italian -> English dictionary, if anyone knows of one. I'm new to e-readers so I haven't really found my way around the 'net yet.
