Glaspell, Susan: A Jury of Her Peers, v1, 9 August 2009.

Susan Glaspell (1882–1948)
A Jury of Her Peers (1917)

A classic short story, much admired in feminist circles. A man is found murdered in his bed. Suspicion falls on his wife. The local women examine her kitchen and gradually piece together the sequence of events.

Thank you for this!

Found it yesterday while randomly looking over the ebook links. I'd never heard of it before, but I've recently developed an interest in early feminist literature, and I've always liked anything about our legal system.

Read it on the train today. I may have to start collecting more short stories for my commute.
