Python error message after update (another one)

Hello,

Just upgraded from 0.7.28 to 0.7.30 about an hour ago.

When launching Calibre I received a message about an error:
results from "calibre-debug -g"

Python function terminated unexpectedly
[Error 5] Acceso denegado (Error Code: 1) (Access not allowed)
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site.py", line 103, in main
File "site.py", line 84, in run_entry_point
File "site-packages\calibre\__init__.py", line 31, in <module>
File "mimetypes.py", line 344, in add_type
File "mimetypes.py", line 355, in init
File "mimetypes.py", line 261, in read_windows_registry
WindowsError: [Error 5] Acceso denegado (Access not allowed)

I'm running Calibre as a non-privileged user in my Windows box - at least until this upgrade. When launching as administrator everything seems OK, but I'd like not to use that account.

Do not hesitate to ask me for anything I could try if it helps.

Thanks in advance,
José Luis.

It looks like you aren't alone.

Yes, seems that 0.7.30 (or Phyton, maybe) is playing wit us, the users. But I wanted to point I'm using a non-privileged account, and that thread had no reference to user accounts.

[EDIT: jmatute]
I forgot to tell I use Windows Vista.

Maybe when I have a free hour this afternoon I'll try to reinstall it as suggested in that thread.
[/EDIT]

Regards,
José Luis
