Auto-Check 'Track topic'?

Is there a way to add an option in the control panel to auto-check the 'track topic' check box on new threads and replies?  I usually remember to look at the bottom of the form and check the box, but not always.

I don't see this option right now, though I could surely implement it. Please give me a few more days; will first change the forum software completely and then start to customize it again.

There's a setting in the control panel to do it now.
