I have always deeply admired Carl Sagan. He is to a great extent responsible for my interest in cosmology and science in general.
I remember watching his Cosmos TV series with a feeling of wonder.
I treasure an old edition of Cosmos (the book) I bought some 30 years ago and am waiting for my children to be old enough to read it.
I was really sad when he died.

Ah!! Carl Sagan; With his easy way of describing the wonders of the Universe.

I often wonder how many people took a sudden interest in all things 'out there' after watching Cosmos.

His memory will linger for a long time.

Cheers.

Forever I hope!

He has a number of quite incredible books in addition to Cosmos.

I have not heard of that one, I must look out for it.

At the moment I am reading 'The Gods of Eden' by William Bramley.

Cheers

I believe it may have been his only novel-length fiction. Highly regarded.

Don't see it as an ebook, but: http://inkmesh.com/search/?qs=The+Va...nE=Find+Ebooks

It is lovely that the world has seen shining stars like him. I love this quote...

Quote:
"Better the hard truth, I say, than the comforting fantasy. And in the final tolling it often turns out that the facts are more comforting than the fantasy."
