how to open pdf file with a extra program?
I'm running Calibre in Archlinux, and can't open pdf file within Calibre.

any idea is welcome.

2. Then make sure you have an application setup to open PDF files.

I don't use Linux so step 2 is on you.

Update: what version of calibre are you using? If you didn't install via the binary install described here, upgrade using the binary install.
