What's going with prices?

Kobo store for new release-$14
Borders hard cover, same book $15.11

Have all new e-books gone up?

What store--US, Canada, UK, AU? Is it a book subject to agency pricing? Is it a book with an available paperback?

Prices

Thriller in the US, probably subject to agency pricing. Last one I bought from Kobo was I believe $11/12

Kobo staff has told me that if their listing does not have a list price AND a discount, it is subject to agency pricing. If so, the price is the price is the price. It seems that new releases are priced higher until the paperback comes out or until the agency poo-bahs see fit to lower it for other reasons.

it's only a matter of time until paper books become obsolete/recycled/whatever.

hope it's soon.

Wither the reader if I can go to my local Borders store for hard copy and pay nearly the same as the digital version? Although the Borders price may have been for an order by mail. I'll have to check the local Borders.
