Reboot - Clarification requested by newbie

The Readme of the Kindle 5 JailBreak warns:
Quote:
--== Installing Packages ==--
... To install a package that you obtained as a .bin file, copy it to the Kindle's USB drive's root. Then go to Menu -> Settings -> Menu -> Update Your Kindle to install. DO NOT reboot your device with a custom .bin in the Kindle's USB drive's root, it won't work.
- Does the last sentence refer to a custom .bin put in the root by the package install process?
- So how should I reboot the Kindle?

Sorry for the dumb questions, I am a first-time Kindle user.

In the case of installing MobileRead *.bin packages - you DO NOT reboot your Kindle.

If the package requires a reboot, it will be handled by the package.

(Sorry - Kindles don't run windows, none of that: You moved your mouse - reboot required stuff.)

As a first-time user, you may not know about "the root of the Kindle" - -

What you see as USB storage over the USB cable to your computer IS NOT the "root of the Kindle's file system".
It is only a small portion of the Kindle's file system tree.

Posts here can sometimes be a little bit casual in the use of the terminology.
So read careful - hints are things like: "root of the USB storage area" found in the directions.
That means along-side of the Documents folder you see over the USB cable.
