calibre and windows 7 failure

got the following

took awhile to even recognize the kindle 2 was there, latest calibre sw
windows 7 7100
Note windows 7 will not open the kindle, xp works fine.

That's an OS level error. Can you browse the contents of the Kindle memory using Windows explorer?

No, I think this may be a Windows 7 thing, since I cannot open the kindle on 7, works great in xp. Thanks for the quick reply.

Calibre also works well on windows 7 for me. (I only use the "Save to Disc" feature though)
