Dunno about you, but I have one from my cell phone, I have 3 from kindles around the house, another 2 from logitech mice...I could go on, but those are just from the top of my head. It isn't going to be a problem. Nearly anyone with any sort of modern smartphone already has one.

Loading books on the Kindle Fire is as easy as any other device; plug it in to the USB (bring your own cable) and open the device, find the folder marked books and drop it in. I use Calibre to convert everything to Mobi format and it works very well.
