Just received my new Red 600

I received my new red PRS-600 as an upgrade to my 505. I am a gadget freak that has loved his 505 for a year now. I have read more than 50 books on it and now I cannot wait to test out my new toy. I charged it for 4 hours and then read on it for 2 hours today.

In good lighting, natural or from lamps, the text is just as easy to read on the 600 as the 505. In poor lighting you have to really work hard to find a sweet spot to see things clearly. (I have no issues with turning on a lamp or using my mighty bright) The 600 feels amazing in your hand, it is noticeably faster, has very cool features, and the red looks fantastic. I will update my opinions in a few days as I spend some time reading on it.

Be sure to register your color preference on the forum poll. So far it's running about 50% for black, 30% for red, and 20% for silver.

What, no blue??

Is the screen about the same size as the 505? Is the page turning that much better? How functional is the wi-fi?

No blue on the 600 - just black, red, and silver. You have to go to the 300 to get blue.
The page turning is faster.
There is no wi-fi on any Sony readers. The Daily Edition, due out in December, will have broadband modem 3G service provided by AT&T.
