Dictionary for definitions

Would somebody please tell a newbie how to connect a dictionary for definition lookup. I have tried several freely available ones but the are not listed under setup.
Do I have to do something or can only certain ones be used?

Thank you in anticipation
Don

Thank you for your assistance. I have read the article you refer to and as far as I am aware the dictionary is in the correct format. It is Websters1913Dict.prc, however it is not listed in setup.
Any further help would be appreciated.
Regards
Don

Does this file appear in the Mobipocket Reader Library ?
If no, this ebook is not in Mobipocket format at all.

Thank you again. The Merriam-Webster does appear in the dictionary list on the PC version but every single definition lookup says no matching entry Manual Search. The definition is in the dictionary. I accept that possibly the prc file is corupt or something.
However, the same dictionary on my HP620LX CE2.0 device does not appear in the dictionary list.
I hope I am not wasting your time.
Regards

If an eBook does not appear in the Library on your PDA, it means you did not store the file in a folder browsed by the Reader when generating the Library page.
This FAQ tells you where to put your eBooks on a memory card. In main memory, put them in /eBooks.

When you click on manual search, what do you see in the screen ? If you delete the word automatically entered in the input box, what are the first words you can see in the list? (you may have the demo version installed on your PC, and when you lookup words in this dictionary, there are no results, because the demo only contains few words)

As your problem deals with Technical Support, it would be better for you to contact directly the Mobipocket Technical Support Team. (http://www.mobipocket.com/en/Support/default.asp)
