Pity they haven't revamped their prices!

I clicked on the Crime and Thriller section, and found some pretty high prices compared to elsewhere:
Rubbernecker - £14.69 (Amazon £7.97, Kobo £8.99)
Linda, As in the Linda Murder - £18.49 (Amazon £9.49, Kobo £9.99)
12th of Never James Patterson - £18.59 (Amazon £7.59, Kobo £7.99)
The Dance Of The Seagull - £9.39 (Amazon £7.26, Kobo £8.27)

It doesn't look like it, at least some of the books Amazon were matching them with at 20p (The Lewis Man, The Hundred-Year-Old Man.... & Safe House) are all 'full' price now. In the £2.99 and under section there is a grand total of 39 books.

In general, the prices are incredibly uncompetitive - why?

It's Sony, the company that threw away domination of the eBook industry.
They just aren't very good at this.

Well I got my freebie just. By the time the email from Sony allowing me to change my password arrived 2 of the five free books on offer were no longer available!

Number of books for 20p now down to 37.
