I had proved the program calibre and it doesn't make the most important task: to copy/move files to a specific "collection" created. All files are moved to main memory. After is necesary to move one by one to a specific "collection". This program doesn't resolve the main problem: to move join many files to a specific "collection" to avoid look at each file in the whole population of files in Kindle for moved it to a specific "collection".

Yes but unfortunately its the best we have for now, that's why I said it took me 3 hours to transfer just over 600 books. With the Sony it would load the books into the collections as defined on Calibre, but the Kindle doesn't do this. |

I had send this mesage to amazon:
---- Original message: ---- When one have many digital books in a PC and one want to copy some files into Kindle, there in a huge problem: it's necessary look at one (o more) files append to Kindle from a list a lot of files stored already into Kindle, and after to send it to a collection. This problem appear because there is not a system to sort files on directories and subdirectories. For this reason it's impossible to copy files from PC to a directory/subdirectories in Kindle with the explorer of files of windows, via connection USB, because the collection aren't directory/subdirectories, but tags. This is a problem very serious. Thank you. A new user of Kindle 3 ======================== This was the answer: Hello, I'm sorry, currently there is no such feature available on Kindle. I've sent your comments to the Kindle team for consideration. They're always looking for ways to improve our Kindle offerings and may be able to make this feature available in the future. Customer feedback like yours helps us continue to improve the service we provide, and we're glad you took time to write to us. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you for your recent inquiry. Best regards, Rajitha A Amazon.com Your feedback is helping us build Earth's Most Customer-Centric Company. |
