Mandatory Kindle for iOS 3.9.2 released ahead of iOS 7

I mentioned this in another thread, but thought it was important enough to create a new thread as well.

Amazon has released what they call a mandatory update of the Kindle app for those who plan to upgrade to iOS 7. This update will prevent the loss of registration information and books, which could occur if you don't update the app before upgrading to iOS 7.

Interesting. I've been running a legitimate developer beta of iOS 7 for some time with no issues.

I was wondering why we haven't heard from anyone here on MR that encountered this problem. It might be that Amazon discovered a glitch that they want to take care of before it happens en mass.

Probably. Perhaps it's an issue for those not on the most recent Kindke APP release (or those who are). Or maybe those who might upgrade from a back level version of iOS.
Either way, as you say, it's encouraging to see a proactive effort.
