If you have a nook, sending books in a series in EPUB format, automatically puts series number in front of title. Only works in epub tho. I couldn't figure out why some of series had series label & others did not. Further investigation showed the titles without series were in PDF format.

figured out the save to file and re-add and losing the series and series number I was also saving metadata in OPF and even with just checked read metadata only form file name it was using the OPF, when I delete that file and reimported title stayed with series and series number. Of course I lost all the other meta data, summary, rating, publisher. Needless to say I still was not happy with this result. I will continue to update the titles manually after I download the metadata. Maybe some day an option to save series and series # to title will be added.
Once again thank you everyone for your help. |
