It looks like Bloomberg has already announced the price is $200.

Engadget is live blogging, and says the Kindle Touch will be $99, and the non-touch version (lacking a keyboard apparently, mind) will be $79.
$79. That's incredible. £50, in my country (though I'm sure once the tax gets slapped on it'll be up to about £70 or so). But, still. Seriously impressive. And the new X-ray look-up function...well. That's major. |

Seriously? It might be finally time to upgrade from my K1. I'll take a new non-touch for $79.

Which did rather occur to me, too. My guess is that cheaper, non-touch Kindle is going to be a compromise - a bargain-basement kindle that you won't be able to take notes on, or if you can, it'll be in some highly ineffective way - by moving a cursor around a virtual keyboard. I'm guessing if you want to take notes, you may be locked in to a touch version. Just a guess, however.

From Engadget: "Android-based colour Kindle Fire for $199, Touch 3G for $149, Touch for $99, and Kindle for $79".
