Noob with a Sony

Hi - thought I'd say hello and introduce myself since I plan on being a regular visitor here.

Just bought a Sony PRS-505 after reading a lot of great information from folks here. I read a great deal of technology books, references, white papers, etc., and an ebook reader just seemed the way to go.

Looking forward to my new toy and learning a great deal more here.

Thanks. How long have you had your Sony? Also wondering which, if any, software you use to manage your reading......I'm looking at Calibre....

I've had mine since last May. I continue to use Sony's software, but since I don't have a huge library of ebooks (just over 100) and buy mine from the Sony store, I don't have as much of a need to have Calibre. BUT I am in the minority here, and a lot of people really like Calibre.

Welcome, wgarider, and enjoy the journey.

Don't forget to let us know what you like to read, and have you seen the poll?

What I LIKE to read and what I often HAVE to read are two different things! LOL

Like to read: Robert B. Parker, Robert Ludlum, Tom Clancy, Ian Fleming, Eric Van Lustbader, Ogden Nash, anything Linux-related...........
Have to read: Many, many, many Microsoft Press books, white papers, etc., on virtualization, System Center products, Server 2008, clustering, etc.

......didn't see the poll - I'll go there now.....
Thanks
