calibredb command line question (setting metadata)
Okay... quick question about using the command line function for setting metadata. I've finally figured out how to dump an OPF file and then reupload an OPF file BUT my question is:
Is there a way to update a particular field in a large # of books without losing ALL other metadata if you use the command line? If I set the metadata using an OPF file and I only include the ID and the particular field it seems to automatically wipe out any other data like author/title/etc... things that I didn't want to change unless I re-populate those fields in the OPF file. Hope this makes sense! Mez |
