new single-entry TOC for Kobo compatibility

Quote:
EPUB Output: Generate a default one entry TOC if no TOC is present. This allows the EPUB to pass epubcheck and work on the Kobo
I'm curious what this means. I've converted a bunch of stuff to EPUB, without any TOC, and had no issues at all with the books working on my Kobo.

Mmm, i've seen books without TOC work as well, but some of my content locked issues are gone too, so shrug?

Whatever works i guess. And afaik there isn't any downside to this.

I'm just a very curious person is all. Not complaining, just inquiring, especially since I haven't heard anything about books not working without a TOC, I'm wondering what details are behind this fix.

It means that when no TOC is present, calibre automatically creates a one entry TOC pointing to the first document in the EPUB file.
