I wonder if the person who wrote the article had actually used one.
I've bought two Rockchip items and they were both pretty bad, one being the Delstar sold at Walgreens. That looked unbelievably good for the price too, and did turn out to be unbelievable, but not in a good way. Hmmm. |

If it's the same thing as in the links below, it was released before iPad.

It's nothing like it... the one you've linked to is a different pad altogether. Could still have been useful but doesn't have SD card slot... still, there's plenty of time and plenty of options coming in this area...

I've had half an eye on this seller for the past 24 hours. It's trying a variety of different sales models: fix price; price with shipping; US$175; US $189; starting at 99¢ ... and the auctions, ending hourly, are going for well over $200 plus $35 shipping. This morning was pay day ... it's awfully tempting to chip off a few dollars and bid just to be able to play with the thing.
There appear to be at least two different sellers with the same device playing these "Marketing 101" games -- could be the same factory. Fascinating! Last edited by SensualPoet; 04-16-2010 at 10:32 PM. |
