As a part of today's "12 Days of Kindle" sale, Amazon UK are offering the omnibus edition of all 5 books of Douglas Adams's "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" trilogy for £2.29 (normal price is £19.69). A real bargain!

In WHSmiths, several years ago, they had both the four part and five part trilogy omnibus' on the shelves. I saved a young lad's pocket money by handing him the five part version just as he was about to pay for the four parter.

I didn't need to buy it because I had all of the individual paperbacks.


BTW there is now a sixth part to the trilogy

I'd forgotten about part 6. I heard an abridged version on Radio 4 some time ago. I enjoyed it, but I'm not in a hurry to buy it.

IIRC, part six was one of the first things I read on my Kindle a couple years back.
