I want to avoid Calibre forcing default font upon converting file.

I have mostly epubs, but when I convert them, the font after the conversion is always the same. It's like Calibre overwrites the publisher's font. Now I'd like to use the same font there was before conversion. I looked in "Look & Feel", section "styling", but the fonts option wasn't checked.

Calibre doesn't override a font. However you did check "Embed all fonts" on first tab of look and feel?
If that isn't checked any referenced fonts will only work if the reading device already has them.
It will even search your PC for the font (at usual places) if the font isn't already embedded.

Yes, I enabled "embed all fonts" under the "look & feel" in the preferences. The font is still different.

No good. The format's still different. But I don't know well Onedrive and/or microsoft word. I have windows 11. So, it comes with 365. If it has some option to preserve the fonts, I'm all ears.

I realize the word option might be the safest way. I'll do this if nothing else works. Anyway, I'll let you know about LibreOffice.

I found a website that converts directly to pdf for free and it's five-star rated. I apologize if I was a bit rude before, I was under a lot of stress. Probably word still preserves the fonts, I should've realized the word "formatting" includes font styles. Anyway, here's the website:
