Hello Eliab

Welcome!

I don't think the sony ereader is compatible with ereader formatted books. Maybe the gurus here will be able to fill you in on the nitty-gritty

Hi Eliab and welcome to MobileRead. I think eReader secured books are DRM protected thus calibre can't convert them.

Welcome to MobileRead Eliab.

Congrats on your 505! The formats you want to look for are epub, lrf/BBeB (this is Sony's format), and Adobe Digital Editions (or Adobe PDF). Any of these can be read on your 505.

You could try emailing Fictionwise and explain you bought the wrong format and ask if you can download a different format.

Thanks guys, unfortunately I cannot contact fictionwise, you know before you submit order there is big bold print that states that once you have submitted your order you cannot return your books.

But all is good I will find a way to convert that collection I bought. But now I am a bit clued up I know which books I need to buy to avoid hassles.

Cheers,

I am loving the reader 5kgs less in my travelling luggage from now on and no more paying axcess baggage fees.
