Help for converting a new children book

Please see my post in the workshop forum about the new book Enya & James In The Land Of Magic to be converted into ebook and sold for the benefit of the Kids of Nature Initiative.
As I am quite new, I am asking for advise and for help to find the best way to convert this book created in In Design CS3.

I have done a lot of reading, and after a lot of thinking, I have decided to convert my first book into a database (mysql) and create the epub ebook with php. The obvious advantage is full control and flexibility, and the code is clean. The epub ebook works perfectly in most of the ebook reader I have on my Apple Mac, although there are some rendering differences. However on the iPhone, the layout is very different on Stanza! I have also uploaded a version on my private account on txtr.com (but I have some difficulties to upload and view my latest version).
Today, I am going to put a free download of the first chapter of the Kids of Nature website, and I would like to get some feedback from you.
As I said, all the proceeds of this book are for the sole benefit of the Kids of nature Initiative. For that reason, I intend to sell the eBook for about 20 USD but I will also allow people who can not afford to get it for a reduced 'donation'. I would also appreciate some comments on that.

The first chapter of the book can be seen and downloaded on the Kids of Nature website. Please send me your comments and test the file on different reader (I only have an iPhone).

I didn't find the link for the first chapter; where's that on the site?

The pictures of the book make it seem like it won't make a good ebook; large images and text wrapped around shaped images often don't look good on a tiny screen.

I know about the inline images, that is exactly why I posted my questions in the forum. I just need to control the size of the image better than it is now. Can you help?
I also want to know if there is a way to avoid an image to be split on 2 pages (it happens on Stanza on my iPhone)?

When I open it in my Sony Reader, I don't see any pictures at all, and the first page is blank. No idea why the Reader won't show the images. I looked at it with Firefox using the epub reader plugin; the images are all separate from the text; there's no wraparound at all.

It should probably be named something other than "Book01.epub." Enya-James_Sample.epub would be better; something that lets the person recognize the file when they're sorting through folders later.

I don't use an iphone so I can't tell you how to get the images to stay on one page, but it probably involves lower-res, smaller-point-size images, which won't be as nice on a full-size screen.
