There is still time to grab the first novella in the "Zombie-ish" trilogy. Reviews appear good but suspicions raised. Caution.
Sundered by Shannon Mayer
http://www.amazon.com/Sundered-Zombi...8834624&sr=1-1

Quote:
A miracle drug, Nevermore, spreads like wildfire throughout the world allowing people to eat what they want, no matter how unhealthy it is and yet still lose weight. It is everything the human population has ever dreamed of and Mara is no different. Only a simple twist of fate stops her from taking the drug.

As the weeks roll by, it becomes apparent that Nevermore is not the miracle it claimed. A true to life nightmare, the drug steals the very essence that makes up humanity and unleashes a new and deadly species on the world, a species bent on filling its belly. Locked down within their small farm home, Mara and her husband Sebastian struggle against increasingly bad odds, fighting off marauders and monsters alike.

But Sebastian carries a dark secret, one that more than threatens to tear them apart, it threatens to destroy them both and the love they have for each other.

The secret forces Mara to make the ultimate choice. Will she live for love, or will she live to survive?

Here is a debut legal thriller from a Supreme Court lawyer and professor. Published by a small midtown Manhattan press.
The Last Justice by Anthony J. Franze
http://www.amazon.com/The-Last-Justi...8835682&sr=1-1

Quote:
CHAOS ERUPTS at the U.S. Supreme Court when an assassin guns down six justices as they are hearing a case.

Solicitor General Jefferson McKenna, the government's top lawyer in the Supreme Court, is appointed to the multiagency commission investigating the murders. As Congress draws battle lines over who will replace the slain justices, the commission follows clue after clue, each one pointing to an unlikely suspect: McKenna himself.

In a desperate bid to prove his innocence, McKenna, on the run with his deputy, Kate Porter, must track down a disgraced law clerk with ties to hidden Saudi assets. But their search leads to unexpected alliances, unearthing dark secrets and corruption at the highest levels -- and the people with clues to the riddle keep turning up dead. From the marble halls of the high court to the inner corridors of the West Wing, from the D.C. housing projects to the desolate back roads of a New York Indian reservation, McKenna and Porter are on a collision course with a shadowy enemy who will stop at nothing to keep the truth buried.

MR member gives us his YA fantasy today.

Powerless Book 1: The Synthesis by Jason Letts
http://www.amazon.com/Powerless-The-...8836400&sr=1-2

Quote:
Mira Ipswich couldn't have ever known the startling difference that separates her from the rest of humanity. But when she discovers a strange anomaly in the midst of her seclusion, her parents are forced to reveal she exists in a world where everyone is imbued with a wondrous natural gift. Everyone except herself that is. Accompany Mira as her attempts to fit in among peers and understand her inconceivable condition embroil her with the dangerous forces threatening her homeland. Protected by nothing more than her imagination and ingenuity, she begins to explore the strange world around her she never knew was there.

The first book in the Powerless series is the tale of Mira’s turbulent and perilous entry into the world around her. And once she’s a part of it, nothing will ever be the same again.

Cafe Du Jour by Lilian Darcy. Author has written nearly eighty novels for Harlequin, Silhouette, Mira Australia, and Mills & Boon.
http://www.amazon.com/Cafe-du-Jour-e...8838016&sr=1-1

Quote:
Love, loss and latté...

"If today is a cup of coffee it has to be a big, piping hot café au lait, served in a bowl the way they often do in France. I drink it with my hands curved around the bowl for warmth... and for safety..."

Susie used to have the perfect sister, the perfect boss, the perfect restaurant kitchen to cook in and a man who only needed a tweak or two. Now, everything is changing and all she can do is take it one sip at a time.

Parallel by Claudia Lefeve. YA sci-fi by an unknown publisher. Could be self pubbed. Many decent reviews.
http://www.amazon.com/Parallel-Trave...8843151&sr=1-1

Quote:
Destiny has a way of catching up.

Saddled with powers she doesn't understand, Etta Fleming's world is turned upside-down the day she meets Cooper Everett, the man who transports her to an alternate reality. A reality she was meant to be a part of.

One minute, she's an orphan living at Dominion House for Girls, an institution for delinquent foster kids, then finds herself attending the exclusive Dominion Hall Academy.

Plucked from the only world she's ever known, Etta now has to deal with an aunt she never knew, a boyfriend she doesn't know, and a best friend who can't know.

The 19 Dragons by SM Reine. A sci-fi novella repeat from December.
http://www.amazon.com/The-19-Dragons...8843563&sr=1-1

Quote:
There are nineteen provinces in the Land held aloft by nineteen pillars. Above the earth there is sky, and nobody knows what goes below except the Nineteen Dragons.

That is all you need to know, but that is not all there is to be known.

The Device has been stolen and the godlike Dragons have been rendered mortal. Someone is murdering them one by one, and each death brings the world closer to its end. Unless the Device is somehow restored to its deceased owner, the Dragons are doomed to destruction-- and the human world will go with them.

Detective Jack Dunlevy, a cop down on his luck, draws the cases no one else wants. A simple investigation involving a dead homeless man quickly changes as Crystal enlists Jack's help with the children. It looks like the author is giving out two of the three titles in his trilogy. Originally published in 1989. I can't tell which books in the trilogy these two are.

The Dark Portal (The Deptford Mice Trilogy) by Robin Jarvis
http://www.amazon.com/Dark-Portal-De...8845525&sr=1-1

The Crystal Prison (The Deptford Mice Trilogy) by Robin Jarvis
http://www.amazon.com/Crystal-Prison...8845365&sr=1-1

Quote:
An innocent young mouse lies murdered in a moonlit field as the screech of an owl echoes across the ripening corn. The Deptford Mice have escaped the horrors of Jupiter’s lair and sought refuge in the countryside. But once again they must face terrifying evil as they are embroiled in a series of horrible murders. At first the simple country mice suspect Deptford newcomer Audrey – but the truth turns out to be far more sinister.
