The American Political System ....
It doesn't matter what country you live in, or how you vote if you live here .... this is one of the funniest (because it's true!!) bits of political satire EVER!!

Myself ... I must have watched it a dozen times and laughed my ass off each time. And ... this may sound stange, but it's humor like that that makes me proud to be an American. |

Very funny but I hope Bob Dylan's copyright was respected .
Not my place as a South African to make value judgments on U.S. politics but it is hugely entertaining. This is the best election ever. Loads of twists and turns and the characters are fascinating. |

Yeah, that seems pretty accurate.
This election year has me so conflicted. |

Too bad we don't live in "Brewster's Millions" video so we could vote for "None of the above".

There have been times that, given the options presented to me, I have honestly considered writing in "a steaming pile of dog turds."

Funny you should mention that. These guys are not new to the political musical video scene. They achieved viral fame four years ago when Kerry ran against Bush with a hilarious sendup of "This Land is Your Land," and got sued by the publisher who holds the copyright to Woody Guthrie's work (despite a very nice letter from Arlo Guthrie). According to Wikipedia, JibJab and Ludlow Music reached a settlement after JibJab's attorneys unearthed evidence that the song had passed into the public domain in 1973. But it seems likely that JibJab's use of the tunes of these songs is protected by the parody aspect of "fair use," given how many of them they've made by this point.

Have to Say
I was laughing so hard watching this that I literally ran out of breath. Being a Fan of Dylan music, I have to say that the usage of the music and imagery was pretty apt. As an outsider watching the American election process its gives a nice cynical view of the whole process with both sides under crosshairs, something you often don't find in the mainstream media. |
