Elizabeth Moon's Vatta's War series has space pirates. I think the Serrano series also had pirates but as bit players.
Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat probably had space pirates somewhere along the line. Iceni Queen does sound fun though - will check out the sample chapter and see. |

Edmond Hamilton's Starwolves Trilogy (The Weapon from Beyond, The Closed Worlds, and World of the Starwolves) is a good series.
