is it possible to run k3 launchpad scripts on k5

I was wondering when this Idea struck me.is there a way to make k3 lauchpad scripts compatible with k5 launcher

Yes.

The problem is that k3 launchpad scripts typically launch k3 apps, and many of those apps are not compatible with a k5 (needing a physical keypad, or different framebuffer layout, or other hardware-specific dependencies). But even those apps can be rewritten to support the k5.

Your thread title (and post title) is a bit misleading there... k5 on k5?

Hi,

Using the debug commands on the search bar, you can create launchpad-like functions on K5. You can create a new debug command such as ".XY" that will execute any .sh script you want. Please see the post

Also, you can make the Kindle Store button execute an application or set a parameter with one action. I found this to be the easiest for an action that I perform many times as it requires only 1 or 2 taps. You can also make it perform different actions with each tap.

The question was about running K3 launchpad scripts on a K5 launcher. Most K3 scripts would require modification to work on a K5.
