Directly reading irx files

I have this curiosity:
is it possible to access and read the content of an .irx (notes) file without merging?

I guess it depends what exactly you mean by "read" and what you want to do with it. There's a stylesheet that will allow you to create SVG graphics from a notes file. The SVG file could then be converted to another graphics format if you do not have a viewer for it.

I think that the community's Pdf Scribble Merger has an option to create scribbled pages only (and keeping original files intact).
