Sir Henry Rider Haggard. Books like "King Solomon's Mines" and "She" are the equal of any modern thriller. Haggard pretty much invented the "Lost World" genre of adventure stories. You'll find all 60-odd of his novels here at MR in a 15-volume set of omnibus editions.

The writers I probably follow the most are:
Clive Cussler Jim Butcher Hugh Howey Larry Correia They're the only ones that I have their website as favorites and visit regularly to keep up with their stuff. |
