Just a note, you need to click the "Meet The Author" banner on the front page to get to the interview/download page (well, I did anyway).

Dear Sabredog:

We are planning on having them up early next week. The websmaster is working on putting an interactive forum up on www.EZread.com. As soon as he can break free then up they go.

We have some great plans for this eBook site. We also know there will be a lot of work. We are adding a Wishlist and PayPal too; and a graphic artist is redesigning the front page.

We also hired an eBook Specialist to run the forum, do contests to win eBook Readers, and more.

Hope you enjoyed Book 1!

One suggestion - you might consider using ZIP instead of RAR, as many less experienced computer users might be put off a bit by an unfamiliar format (that for many will require installing more software to uncompress).

RAR versus ZIP

Dear Koland:

I listen to all suggestions and I appreciate yours. We had quite a debate going on the Astak part of this forum on this. The overall choice that does BOTH ZIP and RAR is 7ZIP.

I do not want to make things at all hard for less excperienced users (and there are many) so your point is well taken. Let me see if we can make the change.

Dear Sabredog:

Thank you. Yes, we are really close to having novels 2&3 of the Earthfleet Saga by Steven Lake up. I push every day. Steven's free eBook (#1 in the Saga is still available for free and easy download!!

Also, we have a new interview with another great author, Albert Dell'Apa coming next week and the intro of his new novel: "How To Win A Chestnut Fight". This is a gripping tale that our "Renegade Intern" says is billed as Fiction but is so convincing she swears it must be non-fiction. Anyway, she says it is one of the best she has ever reviewed.

So... a lot is happening at: www.EZread.com

Robert,

Yes, I recommended 7Zip to my readers (I use it myself) to deal with RAR. I know that years ago when I first ran into it, it was trickier to find a decent program (then again, that was command lines days and everything had to be tracked down via dial-in bbs). Some, however, simply won't install more software in order to read a book (even if it works much better than the built-in compression software and in previous versions of the OS you had to get something just to deal with zip's).

For a book, I'd really recommend you simply post the naked EPUB or PDF (and consider posting a naked Mobi as well, to pull in even more kindle owners), rather than zipping it up.

Why would you zip an epub? Epub is already a zip file just with a different name. So you are zipping a zipped file?

They may be forced to zip it, in order to get their web server to properly send it out as a downloadable file. It is an issue on some systems.

I did enjoy book 1...a lot.

Now when I try and purchase the remaining two books in the first trilogy, all I get is a US/CAN based ordering system.

Are you restricting sales to those countries or are you allowing worldwide access?

Please let me know how I can purchase these books.

Cheers and thanks
