Managing conversions with multiple readers

I have a general question regarding managing Calibre's conversion parameters.

I have recently acquired a 5" reader (PocketBook 360) in addition to my 6" Sony PRS-505.

After lots of experimentation I find that my conversion preferences are slightly different for each reader e.g. font-sizes, Output Profile and Extra CSS.

At the moment I have to remember to make the necessary changes to my defaults depending on which reader I'm going to use. Is there any way of storing multiple conversion profiles, one per reading device? Or is there an easier solution?

No, I'm afraid not. If you're willing to do a little hackery, the conversion settings are stored as simple files in the calibre config directory (accesible via preferences->advanced).

Just maintain two sets of these files and swap them around. ALso when re-converting books, use the revert to defaul so that the settigns from the rpevious conversion are not used, and instead, the settings from the config directory are used.

the conversion settings are in the cnoversion sub directory of the config directory.
