Wow, when I grabbed the free book (which I had no intention of reading, but, heck, it was free...) the Audible offer was only $10 off. But for $1, I'll buy it and even give the thing a listen. Brilliant marketing. I was intent on spending nothing, and they got me to spend something. That's an infinite percentage increase, if my math is right.

BTW, most major German ebook sellers are offering the German translation of The Da Vinci Code today (4/18/13) as a free ebook. You can download it as a DRM-free ePub from ebook.de or as a Kindle book from amazon.de.

Cool! If I was more experienced in having my computer take an overseas trip, I'd be tempted so that I would have another good reason to berate myself for not brushing on on my minimal, long-neglected German skills.
