Thanks for the heads-up! I still haven't read those books of hers which I bought during the 20% off sale (and kind of wish I'd waited for now).

But I did manage to pick up some of Peter Morwood's stuff which I'd been thinking of trying, and hopefully she'll do the 50% off again someday after the new revised versions of the Young Wizards books are out.

So what books do people recommend? No unfinished series please. I really enjoyed her Star Trek books but have read none of her non-trek stuff. Seems like a good opportunity to try her stuff.

I do recommend the Young Wizards series. Note that each book is a story complete in itself. There is development through the stories in the series, but there's no cliff-hanger endings between books. And there will probably be more books in the future. But if there aren't, it wouldn't spoil the series.

There are some continuity/time-line problems, as the first books were written a long time ago, which the more recent books use modern technology, even though only a few years have passed in the story time-line. But it's easy to ignore this.

Alternatively, if you like cats, the feline wizards series is shorter, and also very good indeed (same universe as the Young Wizards series, but centred on cats)

24 books is the whole selection - it's just the books for which Diane Duane (or Peter Morwood) has retained or reverted some ebook rights.

The New Millennium editions aren't out yet. They're intended to be updated versions of the first four Young Wizards books, ironing out the technology discrepancies I mentioned earlier.

Alas, if the code didn't work, then it must have run out already.
