I don't know how to make it display all books without lumping them into one of those categories, so I'm assuming there's no overlap. But this doesn't take into account that some books are available as ebooks AND audiobooks, so that may bring the total number of distinct books way down.

I'm showing 8980 ebooks and 5164 audiobooks in the Midwest Collaborative.

For those interested, the stats have been upgraded. Three libraries saw substantial gains, landing two of them onto this list: Pierce County WA (+21.5%) and Virginia Beach VA (+15.1%). The biggest gain was King County WA (+27.4%), which jumped five spots into the Top 10.

Let me know if other libraries should be on this list.

Chicago Library, total 8.999 ebooks (6222 fiction, 2777 nonfiction).

Edit: This is purely ebooks in any format, not any audiobooks.

Chicago is pretty pathetic for audiobooks, only 5,458 total (4091 fiction, 1367 nonfiction).

Thanks for the info. I did an advanced search and came up with 11,494 ebooks and 6,655 audiobooks. Not enough for the current cutoffs of 15,000 and 7,000. With libraries increasing their collections, I plan to raise the cutoffs to 20,000 and 10,000 to keep the lists manageable.

Finally updated the stats for the Top 20 eBook Libraries based upon their OverDrive collections. The cutoff for this list were libraries with collections greater than 45,000 ebooks. Go here to see the Top 20 Audiobook Libraries.

My local library Auckland (New Zealand) has 71,733 ebook titles and 11760 audiobook titles in its OverDrive collection.

I think view all new ebooks is giving us higher numbers.

A one year gap accounts for that -- Jul 2014 to Sep 2015

Your link is coming up dead. I wasn't comfortable with these totals because it now lists by page instead of ebook in the upper right. So I ran with the largest number in the format list knowing that there'd be ebooks unique to other formats that would raise the totals.
