Disappearing Splinters Alert!
Sharon Lee has posted on her blog that Baen has bought a "Liaden Constellation #3" compilation of stories, and therefore the current Liaden stories up on the Splinter Universe are going to be pulled down sooner rather than later. All three stories are excellent, and if you haven't read them, you should go do so. And, of course, leave a donation while you're at it.

FYI, all. Sharon Lee just posted to the Baen Bar that Carousel Sun, the #2 book in her Maine Fantasy series, will have an audio book version.

There's a new Liaden snippet up on the Splinter Universe. This is a Cantra snippet that didn't make it into the final version of Crystal Soldier. So, enjoy, while we wait impatiently for OneofFive, now officially titled Dragon in Exile. Which is scheduled to be submitted to Madame the Publisher in September. So we can start asking for an eArc about, oh, October 1?

Baen's the publisher. Their schedule, at least the one I know about, only lists through January 2015 so far.

Wish it wasn't so far off, but looking forward to it none the less.

Correct. But this was from Sharon via the Baen Bar, where she apparently got it directly from her contact at Simon & Schuster. (S&S handles printing and distribution for Baen, and, to some extent, is the limiting factor to how many books Baen can publish a month.)

So yes, Baen will be the publisher for this, and the next 4 books in the series, all of which are already under contract.

And yes, I want it sooner too, but there it is. Authors are, wonder of wonders, human. And that means that sometimes life intrudes.

Darn that life! Must be something that can be done about it...

I'll continue to wait patiently for the next book. I'm pretty sure I've collected and read everything else in the Liaden universe.
