yep. and ghu is a general term in the science fiction crowd, or it used to be, because of course SF fans would *never* be so coarse as to swear... alas, I think it's long out of fashion.

Looks interesting. Maybe "Parents will enjoy the stories for how they are the right length for bedtime reading and children will enjoy them for their colorful characters. "

Maybe just something like "Brave princesses, grumpy dragons, princes competing for a kingdom, these and many other beings of fairy tale to be found within." Then have the note about the other two books below that. Maybe have the words on a background of a scrolled up paper. Last edited by crich70; 06-04-2013 at 12:16 PM. |

I think you need some blurb in there, but maybe a little shorter. Remove the middle 11 words after "tales" and up to "They" to leave: "These six modern fairy tales are just the right length..."

I don't like the way Bedtime Stories runs into the "g" of Dragons. Same thing with your name running into the banner.

Hmm, while looking at this, the picture made me think of "Tea with the Black Dragon" by R. A. MacAvoy. |

McAvoy's book was published in 83, and A Princess for Tea was first created in 96 or so. There may have been an unconscious spinoff from the title, but the stories are totally unalike.

Here's another cover, for a non-fiction book of an entirely different stripe from my fairy tales. It's about the intersection of religion and mental illness.

Looks like a good start! Some slight suggestions: That word at the bottom (name?) is hard to read, I would at least change the color of it. The title probably should be a bit bigger so its more readable in the thumbnail.

Another cover: The Snarls
Yes, I used Comic Sans deliberately - this is a humorous story, geared maybe at ages 3 to 6 or 7, maybe 8 depending on the 8yo. This short story is destined to be free.
