Please help! Screen problem

The screen on my Sony PRS-505 suddenly started looking like this --
http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/sl...NAME=snapfish/

I don't know what happened. It looked fine several hours ago. The Reader was not dropped or bumped in any way. But now it has these straight vertical and horizontal lines that don't go away, even when I turn off the Reader!

Can anyone tell me what the problem is, and whether or not it is fixable?

Thanks in advance,
Evelyn
