Fixing library does not work with adding new items

Hi all,

I use calibre portable 2.12 (newest at time of report). I tried to put some title in its library and use a scan function to detect new title. The result is amazing! Calibre detect correct the books I put in. But I chose to fix the library with adding new items, the button is disabled.

What is the reason for that? Sorry if I ask a silly question but I'm in my progress to learn to use Calibre.

Because that is not the correct way to add new books to calibre. Use the import feature.

Check Library is for deleting junk that worked its way into the offlimits library folder (as in, don't look up its skirt, don't try to "fix" anything unless you know what you are doing).
