Help!!! Reader hat sich aufgehängt!!!

Habe mir gestern Bücher heruntergeladen und auf den Reader übertragen. Dann wie immer mit "Hardware sicher entfernen" vom Computer abgekoppelt. Da ich gleich darauf los musste, habe ich nicht mehr darauf gewartet, dass der Reader die Bücher anzeigt und dachte auch, dass er sich halt wie immer selbst abschaltet, wenn ich länger nichts mache. Heute Morgen wollt ich anfangen zu lesen und sehe, dass er immer noch an ist und nichts - wirklich nichts geht mehr?! Kann weder ausschalten noch auf Menü gehen noch Bücherliste ansehen- ich bin verzweifelt! Nicht mal mit dem Reset-Knopf geht was!
Wer weiss Rat?

P.S.: Wenn ich den Reader an den Computer anschliesse, wird er auch nicht erkannt?????

Hm, Akku entfernen und zwei Minuten warten, dann wieder einsetzen. Hoffentlich hilft's.

Oha, PRS-505. Ich hoffe, da können dir die Sony-Besitzer weiterhelfen.

Normalerweise ist auf der Rückseite ein Teil des Deckels mit einer kleinen Schraube festgemacht oder mit einer Griffmulde zum Rausdrücken. Dahinter liegt der Akku.

Beim PRS 505 sind 4 Schrauben, aber da das ganze Gehäuse in einem Guss ist (nur oben, wo der Power Knopf und unten, wo die Anschlussbuchsen für USB und Ladegerät sind, sind Leisten angebracht) nutzt es nichts, diese Schrauben aufzudrehen (hab's trotzdem versucht, kam aber nicht weiter).

Für einen Reboot musst Du nach dem Drücken des Reset-Knopfes oben den Schieber noch mal ... schieben. Wie zum normalen Einschalten. Einfach nur Reset-Knopf wär ja zu einfach. Also bei mir hat das geholfen.

Es gibt noch ein Verfahren, das nannte sich "harter Reboot", da mussten noch ein paar Sachen mehr gedrückt werden, in bestimmter Reihenfolge, hab es aber vergessen, weil zum Glück nie gebraucht. Ich schau mal, ob ich die Links noch finde.

Ansonsten viel Erfolg jetzt schon.

Hard Reset sollte helfen! So mal eben den Akku entfernen? Das geht nicht so einfach. Ich habe mal ein Auto darüber fahren lassen um an den Akku zu kommen

So drastisch wollte ich eigentlich nicht vorgehen
Vielen Dank für alle eure Tipps (ausser dem mit dem Auto), habe auch bei Sony nachgeschaut und die Schritte für ein Hard Reset gefunden. Lief aber nicht viel, bis ich dann gesehen habe, dass der Akku total leer war (ist mir noch nie passiert und war gestern noch voll!!) Jetzt hängt er zum Aufladen da und ich hoffe mal, dass ich dann weiter komme.
Aber hat einer von Euch eine Erklärung für dieses Phänomen? Ich habe nichts anderes gemacht als sonst auch (Bücher runterladen, auf Reader übertragen, warten bis neu geladen ist- das Einzige war eben, dass ich nicht gewartet habe, um zu sehen, ob die Bücher wirklich drauf sind und gehofft habe, dass der Reader sich dann eben von alleine abschaltet, da ich den ganzen Abend nicht zu Hause war)

Das sich der Reader nach dem Übertragen von neuen Bücher danach nicht von alleine ausschaltet, kenne ich von meinem 505 auch. Ist mir allerdings nur einmal aufgefallen, ob das immer so ist???

Ich drücke dir die Daumen, dass sich das Problem von alleine löst nach dem Laden.

Hallo,

dass sich mein PRS505 aufhängt erlebe ich sehr, sehr selten. Wenn, dann ist bisher aber immer ein Buch schuld gewesen, an dem er sich verschluckt hat. Nachdem ich den Übeltäter entfernt, neu konvertiert oder was auch immer gemacht hab, lief der Reader wieder wie geschmiert. Was da im Einzelnen in so einem Buch quer liegt, weiß ich aber auch nicht. Ich würde Dir auf jeden Fall empfehlen, die neu aufgespielten Bücher auf dem Reader zu löschen und einzeln neu zu übertragen und jeweils zu überprüfen, ob er es anstandslos schluckt.

Gernell sollte man erstmal den Akku voll aufladen,
dann Soft Reset und danach Hard Reset.

Wenn das auch nicht hilft hat man wirklich ein Problem.

an alle! Und HALLELUJA - er läuft wieder!! Habe voll aufgeladen bis grade eben und jetzt kann ich wieder ins Menü und in die Bücher
Vielleicht waren auch zu viele Bücher drauf. Ich lösch jetzt erstmal ein paar, damit wieder etwas Platz wird und werde mir demnächst eine Speicherkarte zulegen, damit ich die schon gelesenen auf die Karte speichern kann!
