Cookies and Candy and Pop (soda) oh my
Went to Jungle Jim's International Market in Cincinnati today. There was a large selection of different cookies, candies, and soda in the international section of the store. I thought I might get some suggestions as to what others may like in these categories. For example, there was the digestive sweetbread biscuit (I forget the manufacture) from the U.K. I passed on these this time (the description, "digestive" kind of threw me). After I read about them on Wikipedia, I will try them. Anyway what snacks from around the world would you recommend. Much thanks.

The General Discussion forum is not the place for such a question.

A glass of sauvignon and a dozen oysters. Actually, make that a bottle of sauvignon.

Were the digestives McVities? If so, they're OK. Better with chocolate on them if they have those. I like the dark chocolate covered ones with a glass of milk.
I'm not sure if there is a quintessentially British snack - how about pork scratchings? |

No, I remember now, they were Burton's. Pork scratchings! I had to google that. I've had pork rinds, didn't realize the various types. There is even a website devoted to them called porksratchingworld. I appreciate your response. I'm just looking to try new snacks that others find enjoyable.

I love speculoos, which are a Dutch shortbread cookie. Biscoff is the brand usually seen in the U.S. but Trader Joe's makes them also.
Even better is the cookie butter made from them. Mmm, spreadable cookies! |
