Actually, you can't start now. It's not 2011. And only books started and ended in 2011 count.

So are we all in agreement that "Meditations of Marcus Aurelius" is code for smut on our reading lists?
It's only 140 pages so doesn't officially qualify anyway.

Darn. On Amazon the paperback version for the one I got said 170 pgs. I'll have to look into that. But yes, we can use that title as code. It's not like it was at the top of my list - it was bound to get crowded out with the smut anyway.

And yes, you should start sharing your smut. Could add a whole new dimension to your relationship... Or at least start a very interesting conversation!

Who told you that? I don't see anything by the OP that says that, and he's the one who sets the rules of this challenge.

My stable of Marcus Aureliuses generally copulate with the dust bunnies under my bed. This thread has me thinking I need to take another crack at them in 2011, or at least the unread ones.

Not mandatory. But it does help you keep track of what you've read and when including when you started reading and when you finished.

Not Mandatory. I don't think anybody can do that for all 100 books.

Not mandatory. Not a problem listing the naughty books. Maybe others will want to read them too. I don't have any issue with that.

I saw the place over at the group to list - and then edit for each additional - books we read. It also asks for a short review. I think I will use the star system ***** 1 through 5, and maybe write one sentence about each. Except the naughties, of course.
The naughties should have in-depth reviews.

If we really must have code, then Caligula would be a much better code.

This is all so funny because my husband of 30 years sleeps beside me and has no idea I even read smut, but everyone on this forum now does. Go figure.

Hubby, "What are you reading, Honey?"
Me, "Nothing."
I've had this conversation many times.

I've been (mostly, there's a few I missed adding) keeping track of what I read for the last few months by using Shelfari. I also have Goodreads, but that one was already way too cluttered to even try using it for this. According to Shelfari, I've read 51 books since I started keeping track, which was the beginning of September. So apparently, I could do it...I guess the question would be keeping up with it. I have a hard enough time keeping up with the Shelfari Project, LOL.

I'm anxious to get started. One thought keeps bothering me: Will I be reading much on the day after the New Years party?

It appears that your ticker has started without you.

Actually, it's not true that I don't want a ticker. I want one, I just want it to the right of my Swagbucks sig and I don't know how to make that happen. It always puts itself below and makes my signature too long.

LOL! I put in one for practice, but it wouldn't let me delete it. It will be Hitchhikers Guide soon.
