Unable to install PRS+ on my PRS-950

I'm getting an error saying c:\users\JP\AppData\Temp\7zSC093.tmp\Fuluasha.hta is not a valid Win32 application

Can anyone help?

Blind stab in the dark:
Don't run the setup.exe out of the ZIP archive, extract the archive first into a folder. (Guessing from the \temp\ path in your error-message)

Did the install works for your PRS-350 on the same machine?

If not, it might be a missing MSVC-runtime.

The install worked on both my 350 and my previous 950. This is a backup 950 I had, in case my first one died, which it did (didn't really die...it was murdered by my wife...involuntarily). Anyway, I've always done it this way. I did actually extract the initial download then double clicked the setup.exe file.

Have you done a clean original firmware installation? I saved my troubled PRS300 by that.

I know this is an old thread but it didn't seem there was ever an answer. I just encountered this on a PC running Win7-64. I ran it on my Win7 laptop and it installed.

I would guess that the file is either not what the installer expected because it was the 64 bit OS or that the Fuluasha.hta file on my desktop is munged/missing. I am going with the latter because search doesn't find the file on the desktop unit.
