Converting to ePub for iBooks

This is driving me crazy:

When I converted my HTML files to epub, for use with iBooks, I'd a problem: All chapter titles which are in the TOC are blue.

I create the HTML out of a Word file (using the filtered HTML option). Has anyone ever encountered this problem? Does anyone have a solution?

(Apparently iBooks is rendering anchors as links. If so, is there a way to prevent Word from creating anchors?)

Anchors are the things that links jump to. An anchor is not a link, and absolutely cannot be rendered as one.

You've got your chapter headers linked back to an internal ToC. This is very bad form for an ePub. ePub's ToC should be in the file toc.ncx. There's no need for an internal ToC.

Still didn't work. Chapter titles are still blue, even after adding your code to extra css. Thanks for trying to help anyway.

Apparently I'd made a bad design decision. I removed the Word-generated ToC before converting to HTML, and now my ePubs are flawless. No need to have a redundant ToC, anyway.

Thanks a lot!
